Jan, it does not have a manual safety but it has half notches on the cylinder so the hammer/firing pin does not have to rest on a live round.

Jan - no thumb safety or manual safety .. but it has the most important safety of all - an intelligent user. Nothing beats that.
no manual safety just leave the hammer forward (de-cocked) until you are ready to fire
