Raymond - if you mount this directly on the rail of your receiver the fixed front sight will be in your field of view. To use a riser and raise it above the line of sight to clear the front sight would bring the scope up pretty high and it may be uncomfortable to shoot, and you couldn't get the proper cheek weld. It is possible to remove the front sight tower and install a rail height gas block that would allow you to mount the scope directly on the rail with no interference, then install folding sights that would fold down out of the way until you wanted to use them. This is one of the trade offs one makes with a scope on an AR. This scope, as is, would be in direct line of sight with your front sight post.

Raymond, you will be fine. You will barely notice the slim front sight through a "Magnified Sight". It will appear at the bottom of your periphery sight barely noticeable.
