John F - this is listed as having a 'heavy barrel' and the barrel does not have 'cuts' in it, which is prohibited in MD. HOWEVER - this has 30 round capacity, which is MD prohibited, to my understanding. John, you don't necessarily need a "Heavy Barrel", just one hat has no cutouts like the M4 Barrel. The barrel should be compliant with Maryland law. The magazine however isn't.
