There should be a nut on the front of the barrel which screws off and the faux suppressor should screw on to it with no need for a adapter

Most threaded barrels come with what's called a "thread protector". Its basically a bolt cap that screws in the barrel to protect the threads inside when firing without a suppressor attached. Simply unscrew the thread protector and screw in the suppressor.
