according to sig " +p is fine as long as it isn't a regular diet and that it will cause your pistol to need maintenance sooner"
Andrew, yes Sir. +P Ammo manufactured to SAAMI/CIP/NATO specs is fine to use as a defensive round or for occasional range use. Continual use of this round will make it necessary for more frequent service on the pistol. Sig does NOT recommend the use of any +P+ round. This may void your warranty. - - (https://www.sigsauer.com/support/faqs/)
Andrew - this little pistol will handle +P ammo with no problem, however SIG (and most other manufacturers) recommend you not shoot +P all the time. And frankly, with the 938, I think you'll find that "regular" 9mm will be 'snappy' enough that you won't want to shoot +P out of it all the time. +P does put just a bit more strain on any pistol, due to the higher pressures involved, and can, over long period of time, just puts more wear and tear on any pistol. 115 grain FMJ "regular" 9mm will be great in the pistol for you regular range use, with some firing of +P, if that's what you choose to carry for defense, being fine as well.
