No thumb safety on the EZ.

Howard, the (101524) has both the "Thumb Safety & Grip Safety". The (101525) has the "Grip Safety Only". Buds prices are normally tied directly to stock level. A large variance in stock level will cause a wide variance in the prices of similar models.

Buds may well have been able to get a much better deal no the 380 / 101524 from S&W than they got on the 101525. Maybe S&W was trying to move the 101524 models as the 'no thumb safety' models are more popular. One finds the same thing with the 9mm Shield models, and the only difference there is the safety. No way we here can really know. Buds prices are set based. on manufacturers' cost to Buds.
