James, this will neutralize the corrosive salts just fine. Just out of habit, I still water bathe my weapons.

James - we fought all of World War I, II and Korea with corrosive ammunition. So it isn't as bad as some want to insinuate. I have always used Windex window cleaner ( the old fashioned kind with ammonia - ammonia neutralizes the salts in the corrosive ammo). Disassemble the firearm (as one should anyway for a cleaning) and spray it down with the Windex. then, clean it (especially the bolt, chamber area and bore) thoroughly, and lubricate it as usual. That's where the Lucas Oil will come in. I've never had a problem from 'corrosive' ammo when following that regimen. Just give the firearm the good thorough cleaning it deserves, after the Windex treatment and I don't think you'll ever have to worry.
