While it should be problem free (and the majority of them will be) there is always the chance that you could get a lemon but rest assured that Colt will take care of any problem guns

Robert - Personal opinion time: Having been shooting and working on 1911s for some 40+ years, I've "seen a thing or two". One thing I've seen is a once great company that makes and had made for many years lots and lots of fine 1911s slowly turn into a mediocre company that still makes lots of 1911s, but mediocre ones. Over the last few years, there have been lots of good Colt 1911s sold. There has also been a good number of mediocre Colt 1911s sold. And a few that just were not at all ready to sell to anyone. They still have a loyal fan base, but I am no longer among that group. Do your due diligence before you sink your $$$$ into this or any Colt 1911. At least go in with your eyes open. And then look long and hard at maybe moving across the aisle, and considering a Dan Wesson 1911. I have, and I'm very happy I did so. OK, off the soap box.

One of the few Colts I still own (Defender 9mm) it is a decent gun. Be aware the New Agent is long gone from production, so you likely won't find a new one.
