George, This GI-style pistol has the original arched style mainspring housing and does not have the I.L.S. feature.

George - The owners manual still addresses the ILS. I understand, however, only the CA models still have it - Springfield stopped installing it on all but the CA models a couple years ago. So this one should be good to go. And sweet guns they are too!
