Raymond - I do not own the M&P 22, but as a rule 22 caliber pistols are about the easiest of all pistols to pull back the slide, as the recoil springs do not have to be as strong as a 9mm or 380, in order to operate the gun. This should be about the best choice you could make for her, as far as ease of operation.
