Darlon, Slides have different size barrel openings. So if you just put in 9mm barrel it will not be as accurate in the lock up. To function correctly you need proper caliber slide, barrel. and magazine, (which is the X-Change Kit). Even though all my 40 S&W Sig magazines function with 9 mm ammo. Same magazines the 9mm just have ribs pressed into the magazine to make internals a little smaller then the 40 S&W magazines.
