Larry - This Series 80 R1 1911 comes with two 7 round magazines. Any single stack 1911 45acp magazine of 7, 8 or even 10 round capacity will work fine with it. (the 10 round mags will protrude below the grip). I've found the best magazines to use are Wilson Combats, Tripps, McCormicks and MecGars, and honestly can not recall the last time I had a mag related malfunction (mag problems are the main source of 1911 troubles, it seems). in any of my 1911s - in literally thousands off rounds.
it comes with 2 -7 round mags metalform and MecGar are the mags I use on my 1911s UPC: 885293963245 Description: REM 1911 R1 45AP PST 5SS 7R FS Brand: Remington Model: Remington 1911 R1 Stainless Type: Pistol: Semi-Auto Caliber: 45AP Finish: Stainless Steel Action: Single Action Stock: Walnut, Double Diamond Grips Sight: FT: Dovetail w/Dot RR: Dovetail w/2-Dot Barrel Length: 5 Overall Length: 8.75 Weight: 38.5 oz Capacity: 7+1 # of Mags: 2 Safety: G.I.
