John, these rifles have essentially the same features. The difference in price is more a aspect of the number of each Buds has in stock since their firearms prices are directly related to stock level.

John - Not much for sure, if any ... the RI2245N appears to be an older model, and has likely been discontinued (as it is 'out of stock' with many vendors) , and replaced by the RI2398N. Most likely, Century Arms charged Buds more for the RI2245N, and have dropped their prices to dealers with the RI2398N - all gun prices have gone down over the recent past.. Buds prices are based on a 'cost-plus' basis, and they would therefore charge less for the newer model for which they paid less money. I see other vendors pricing the RI2398N in the $740 price range. Buds is cheaper than anyone I found. SO, it pretty much has to be that Buds is charging less - because they paid less - for the newer model. I would suggest you call Buds, at 1-859-368-0371 (9am-9pm EST Mon-Fri) or use the "chat now" button located at the bottom right hand portion of your screen, (9am-9pm EST 7 days a week) and pose your question to them directly.
