Glenville, no, Buds would only ship in the name as the purchaser who would be considered the "Owner" and only you could do the paperwork. You can purchase directly at the store across state lines but, the same applies. I suggest getting your son a Buds Gift Card in the full amount of the purchase and let him buy the rifle. FFL's do this because of the potential for "Straw Purchases".
no it would look to much like a "straw purchase " the best way is to get a gift card for your son and have him order the firearm
Glenville - Sorry, but can't do it .... you'll need to order it yourself and present it to him, or send him a Buds Gift Card for the amount needed to order the rifle and let him order it in his name to be shipped directly to him. Buds is only trying to protect their business/interests.
Glenville, No way. A gift card with a note describing firearm gift is always a better idea when you want to gift a firearm to another person
