Thomas - Just follow the manufacturer's recommendations - for safety reasons, and warranty reasons. Remember that heavier bullets do put more of a strain on any firearm - after all it just takes more pressure to get a heavier bullet moving, which generates more 'recoil' wear on the parts of the firearm ... just like more weight on a person wears out he knees and joints faster than lesser weight, all things considered. Go ahead and use the heavier ammo if the manufacturer says it is OK, but the lighter (and usually cheaper) ammo for range sessions will be better on the gun, and your hand and wrist (and wallet) in the long run.
