Andrew - it does, of sorts. But I think a 1-4X28 is actually a pretty poor choice for a scope on a 308 scout rifle, and personally would prefer a good 3X or 5X prism scope - such as the Primary Arms SLX 5. Yes, it is a relatively short barreled scout rifle but it is a 308 - and a 1-4 power scope on a 308 is somewhat equivalent to installing skinny street tread tires on a 4X4 pickup truck. Gosh, it's a 308 ... not a .22 LR. I just think a better balance would be a 5X prism scope - something that would be in keeping with the whole scout rifle concept, but still would give me an optic that is much faster to get a good picture of my target, and just a tad more magnification to make some longer range shots ... which is a big reason to buy a 308 in the first place.
