Hollis, the F in its model number would indicate that it is indeed a type F which has a safety-decocker, putting the gun on safe decocks the hammer and also acts as a normal safety. A type G would have a model number along the lines of JXC9G--- or similar and those are the decocker only models.
Safety: Firing Pin Block, F Model-Fire, Decock, Safe
Hollis - This one has the thumb operated decock safety lever mounted on the slide. It decocks the pistol and places it in 'safe' mode. (Type F)
