Is the slide action on the .380 Bodyguard much more difficult to rack than the S&W .380 EZ. Is it just the "wings" on the slide of the EZ that make it easier to rack? Looking for something fairly easy to manipulate and easily concealable for my wife and daughter.

Is the slide action on the .380 Bodyguard much more difficult to rack than the S&W .380 EZ. Is it just the "wings" on the slide of the EZ that make it easier to rack?  Looking for something fairly easy to manipulate and easily concealable for my wife and daughter.

The "EZ" is made differently than the Bodyguard - different recoil system, different recoil spring system.  If you are looking for 'easy' the by all means, the "EZ" 380 or 9mm is the way to go.

Sean, yes it is comparatively speaking. Overly so, no. The 380EZ was built from the ground up to be easy loading, easy racking. I am waiting for their 9mm version of the EZ platform.

the ez is a lot easier to rack I suggest taking them to a local range (that has rentals)and letting them try all the guns that you are looking at
