Monica, I own 2 SCCY's and have shot +P without issue. I switched back to regular loads since the shorter barrel does not give the expected added velocity but, does increase recoil and muzzle blast. With the standard load, a good hollow point - you will be more accurate with shot placement.

Monica - SCCY is one of the very few who actually seem to avoid addressing the "+P" issue. Their owner's manual for this pistol only states to use "only 9mm luger" ammunition. Well, Duh! Honestly, from all the conflicting reports I've seen since SCCY introduced their firearms, I would avoid getting near one. I know some people like them, but some people are so limited in their firearms experience they have no basis upon which to know what is actually a good firearm and what isn't, having acquired their 'knowledge' from YouTube and playing Call of Duty. Were I in a position to choose a $200 9mm pistol to use for self defense, I'd go with the Taurus G2C. Taurus has certainly stepped up their game in the last couple of years, have reinstated their lifetime warranty, and the G2C is getting some good reviews., Alternatively, and preferably, I'd look at a Ruger EC9, which is only a few bucks more, and made by an established, American company with a good reputation for customer serv
