I dont see any issues with it folding with a frame mounted side saddle if you do have a slight clearance issue you may be able to put a spacer under the side saddle

Joseph - I'm gonna stick my neck out here, and say I can see where this stock could possibly not fold completely with a side saddle shell holder on the receiver - at least there could be some interference. I agree with you that there is potential for a problem, but, I don't think it isn't anything that couldn't be 'engineered' to work, if it turns out that there IS a problem. There well might not be a problem, but the fact ATI has prepared this to mount a shell holder kind of says maybe they realize there is a conflict between the stock and a sidesaddle. As the others said, this stock is drilled to accept a shell holder, so that could replace a sidesaddle, in the case of an unresolvable 'space' problem. Hopefully not ... but you are thinking ahead to address it now, rather than after you get the stock and find out for sure. Good for you.
