Mat, this Upper has 1/2-28 Threads with a "Removable Muzzle Brake".
Mat - this one wil be removable (and easily so). It is only the rifles with the barrels shorter than 16" that have the compensators pinned or welded - they use a 14 1/2" barrel, and have to permanently attach the compensators in order to meet the 16" barrel requirements. Otherwise they'd have to sell their 14 1/2 " barreled AR carbines s ";Short Bareled Rifles" and everyone would need the ATF $200 tax stamp to buy one. This one, though, as it is on a pistol with no barrel length requirements, will only be screwed onto the barrel threads, and easily removable for changing it out or mounting a suppressor. .
