yes it is legal in CA "CALIFORNIA Revised 16 Jamuary 2018 DR Shotgun Flowchart The following are prohibited: Shotguns with revolving cylinders (e.g. Franchi SPAS 12, USAS-12, Striker-12 or Streetsweeper). Semi-automatic shotgun that has both a folding / telescoping stock and a pistol grip, thumbhole stock, or vertical handgrip. Semi-automatic shotgun that has the ability to accept any detachable magazine.
