Larry, the Rock Island is an "Excellent" Brand. I have The 10mm Big Rock(6" 10mm) and the 5" 10mm) and they are excellent in fit, finish and function. I have no doubt the Ultra 45 will follow suit. Especially at the price point.

I don't care for them that much. There are much better options out there for .45's

Larry - Having over 40 years of dealing with and shooting 1911s, I can say, in general, Rock Island makes some of the best 1911s (for the money) anywhere. I've owned a few, and every one has been a perfectly fine 1911. You can get better 1911s for sure .. but not for the same price as the Rock Islands.
