James, yes if you have an A2 Front Sight, otherwise no. This Fits: - Standard AR-15 gas tubes. The compatibility with any special piston system is not guaranteed. Also, the rail system works with standard AR-15 upper receivers. It may not be compatible with any re-designed, oversized upper receiver.

James - yes an A2 style front sight post would have to be removed, and replaced with a 'lo profile' gas block, to install this hand guard. You will need tools to remove the front sight post. (drift pin, hammer - at minimum. Grinder, if the sight is 'stuck' in place and removing the pins doesn't let you take it off. ) You can then mount the new gas block, and mount a new front sight on the rail of the hand guard. Not too difficult if one is mechanically inclined, and has the tools. If not, then a gunsmith would need to do the work for you.
