sorry I am looking at mine now and it is a throated barrel. mine works just fine with federal hydro shock hollow point ammo. only my 40S&W and 10MM ria guns are ramped

Jesus, Do not know how old these models are, but there is ramped and non-ramped model out there. here are two versions now - ramped and non ramped barrels. One of the big challenges was getting them to feed... so the design was changed about a year after release, to include a barrel with the feed ramp attached, making this much more reliable. I have the original version, and needed to do some dremel tuning and polish on the feed ramp on the frame, and especially on the barrel and chamber, common to 1911's.
