I have had similar situations. Have you tried to add it to your wish list? I've never waited longer then 2weeks after adding items to my wish list. An attempt will be made to get you one.

I know it is definitely frustrating but if you add it to your wish list, you'll be notified as soon as it is back in stock. It is usually between a day and a month (depending on how scarce an item is). Good luck!!

Have you tried joining Team Buds?   It will give you access to really popular items not otherwise available.  I was able to buy a CZ 75 compact when even my FFL couldn't get  one.
