Michael, I have not purchased a Savage this year but, you should be able to get a status from Savage by calling "Rebate and promotion related questions at (800) 998-8758.

Michael - Haven't had any experience with Savage, but have with other manufacturers, and sometimes they do take several weeks after you file for the rebate. This does seem to be a long time, though, and if I were you I would be checking on it. Call Savage at 800-998-8758. Have your serial # and model number handy when you call. If you received any sort of confirmation number when you applied, have it available as well when you call, - having this information might well speed your transaction with Savage.

Mine took six months and they sent me a prepaid card. If you use the same computer as you registered on it will probably remember your information depending on browser settings. I looked mine up several times. Never found any reason for it taking 4 months longer than it should. I had given up on it at around 4 months, and consider any future Savage rebate offers off-kilter.
