Noah, you will not if you currently have a "Carbine Length" Gas System and plan to retain that. If you move to a "Mid Length" Gas System, then yes.

This works with a carbine length gas system so if your existing gas system is pistol length all you need to do is get a new gas tube and transfer the old gas block.
