Stephen, the Gen4 is +P rated however, with the short barrel, the additional muzzle blast and flip is not worth the delay in target re-acquisition. There is less gain in feet per second as opposed to longer barrels. Just use a reliable expanding bullet and be more accurate in shot placement.
