Hi Jake, Yes it does. It has a Barrel Nut and Delta Ring that are designed for one person handguard removal and installation

The stock configuration handguard is not free float but you can install one later, that will probably involve removing the gas block and barrel nut to install though. Jake, this is not Free Float Sir.  Barrel Nut and Delta Ring are designed for one person handguard removal and installation  It does have a Mil-Spec diameter receiver extension.
