I've seen some Sauer 101 XT's with the sling studs located at the very front of the forearm (as pictured) and some underneath the forearm (like most American bolt action rifles). If I were to purchase this rifle where will the front swivel stud be loacted ? Thanks

The 101 Classic all have the sling swivel stud mounted forward like the photo. The Forester model is the only one with it mounted midway. This one is just as the photo shows. Mounted that way it will keep the sling swivel from eating your finger with heavy recoiling loads so it's much more comfortable to shoot offhand.
