Hi Matthew, this is designed for any plain barrel shotgun. The Glo-Dot II simply snaps in place over your existing front bead sight for perfect alignment to provide you with a bright, easy to see aiming dot. Other than "bead" sights require removal.

It depends on which version of the 500 you have. As long as you have a smooth surface area big enough at the end of the barrel, it will work.
