Yes it should, although all 1911's in my experience have been a little finicky in deciding which magazines they like to feed from.

Llewellyn, You should have no problem with an 8 round 1911 magazine. Should function with 10, 15, 25 round 1911 magazines also.

Liewellyn, yes, standard 8rd magazines will function but, will extend just a tad of course.
