I heard that on the first gen 15-22 you could put any rounds through it that you chose. However I did not know what you could put through the newer ones. I could use some help. Thanks.

Andrew, the newer ones are just as reliable with many 22LR brands as well. It has been established that CCI Mini Mags are the standard in reliability and accuracy through S&W 15-22. they will function with any good 22lr ammo but like all 22lr guns there will be some 22lr ammo that is more accurate that other 22lr ammo I suggest starting with CCI mini mag and for bulk CCI Blazer. I find more 22lr guns like those two types of ammo than any other 22lr ammo (until you get to the high dollar target ammo )
