I recently purchased this Colt Defender. The gun shoots great but the finish on the pistol is already wearing off. I have very few rounds through this gun and haven't carried it much. The Cerakote coating on this pistol is a disappointment. Is there a coating that would be better that doesn't cost as much as the gun? Thanks

It depends on where the wear is if its moving parts nothing will work I would contact colt 1st and if they are no help call some of the aftermarket Cerakote finishers. Cerakote is normally a very tough finish Tel: 800-962-COLT (2658) *Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm EST.

William, Sound like a bad cerakote job. You can always call the manufacturer. Basically today if you do not want finish wear on a firearm leave it in your safe.
