Jewell, Current versions of the Special Combat Government is equipped with the Series '80 firing pin safety system.

while the model number suggests that it is a series 70 I could not find in writing which series it is and The colt site no longer lists this model number (O1970CM) so I suggest contacting colt to be sure Tel: 800-962-COLT (2658) *Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm EST
