I still don't see the purpose of this weapon. If I'm at home and have the room for a shoulder weapon, wouldn't a tactical shotgun be better? I've heard some call it a truck gun, but again, wouldn't a good pistol work better? It would be much easier to maneuver. This also takes 2 hands. With a pistol, I could keep firing while using 1 hand to drive if needed. In every situation I can think of a better defensive weapon. Why limit yourself?

The purpose is fun and NFA loopholes, anyone with a different explanation is really not being completely honest with themselves. Proper aim is essentially impossible which really rules out defense, truck gun, etc. and it is impractical in almost every other category, but blasting away at the range is pretty dang fun which is enough to justify it in my book.

Kent, You are correct a good tactical shotgun or dependable handgun is best for home or self defense. This AOW is a 'fun gun'. If you have the funds get whatever toys you want. Using one makes you smile.

the purpose is to sell them to people who want to look cool. the 12 ga is not a bad home defense gun using the MINI shells so it is easier to control and still be effective. I will avoid them because while they are legal I could see some issues with some law enforcement officers. I dont even want a "tactical " shotgun in the event of using it in self defense because of how a lawyer can spin that "evil" looking killing machine. I want the shotgun that everyone's uncle has in the closet

Kent, no real functional purpose. This firearm rides on the nostalgia of a Short Barreled Shotgun to sell to the masses that will not go through the proper process of acquiring the genuine article. Build it and the fish will come.
