I like this Nikon 2x7 as the 9mm carbine is not a long range rifle the 2 power is nice up close and the 7 power is enough at the longest ranges this rifle is accurate at https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/111081/nikon+prostaff+p3+2-7x+32mm+obj+446-126+ft+%40+100+yds+fov+1%5c%22+tube+black+matte+finish+bdc
Warren, the Sig Whiskey is a compact scope with bullet drop compensation that will fut the 8mm Carbine perfectly : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/714020466/sig+whiskey3+3-9x40+bdc-1+quad+blk
We have found that as loose as the barrel fits the receiver that scopes do not give good accuracy with this rifle. We have gone to barrel mounted reflex sights. This company makes a mount that screws into the rear sight base holes and works wonderfully. https://taccom3g.com/product/ruger-pc-carbine-rear-optic-sight-mount/
