Hank - it's a Colt. If you don't want to pay the price for a Colt, get a Rock Island. Honestly, anyone considering a $1300 1911, and doesn't know 1911's use 'magazines' (not clips) shouldn't be complaining about what comes with the pistol. Just get yoruself a Rock Island ... and a couple of spare 'magazines'.
