For purchase of handgun ammunition, the purchaser must present a valid firearms purchasers identification card, a valid permit to purchase a handgun, or a valid permit to carry a handgun. So your valid firearms purchasers identification card or carry permit should probably be on file at BUDs according to NJ law.
