Can the s&w m&p 15-22 take 22  short,  long rifle, or is it only one type of bullet?

David, this semi auto is 22 Long Rifle (LR) only. It will not cycle 22 Short or Long ammunition. Long Rifle only.

David, 22 lr is the only round that fit and functions in the proprietary magazine. Any other length round will not cycle.
