Since this model has been discontinued, how would I get parts if I needed them? I believe Sig has a lifetime warranty but in my mind that is no guarantee that it would be honored. I'm torn between the standard P229 Nitron and 220 classic carry. I would like to hear someones educated opinion on this thanks.

Robert, I would contact Sig directly on the replacement part status just to get a feel as manufacturers usually have a few years of part in the pipeline even after discontinuance. 603.610.3000 option 2  --   	Monday-Friday: 8:30am – 5pm EST

Robert, With millions of these sold there will be parts around. Also Sig will stand behind the warranty. They have warehouses full of parts and competent firearm technicians ready to do warranty work. Buy with confidence. If your still worried get BUDs lifetime warranty for a few bucks. Both great firearm, but I would lean toward P220 Clasic Carry.

while this specific model is being discontinued it shares most parts with the current P229 models and Sig will keep making parts for the for a long time.
