The Dan Wesson 1911 guns are superb they fit between production guns like Colt and S&W and the true customs like Ed Brown and Nighthawk. Is it worth 2K only you can answer that if you want more than a working gun then it may be for you. It is a work of art the fit and finish are great the accuracy is very good. No as for if it is a carry gun it will do the job but IMO I want to carry the least expensive gun that I trust to be totally reliable and that I shoot well because If I ever need to use it in self defense I realize that in most case it will become evidence and I may or may not ever get it back
Scott, Yes this firearm is well worth the money. 10 mm chambering makes it a little more expensive. The DW Valor Commander V-Bob in 45 ACP is all of a $1600 firearm. So 2K for this firearm is very reasonable. And no I would not use it for EDC. You can. If you choose to EDC the firearm it will take plenty of training to get proficient with it in a self defense situation.
Scott, for what it is and the time put into the build quality, yes it is. I think you will be happy with the feel and accuracy as well as the reliability of the V-Bob. I have been a member of the 10-Ring forum on AR-15 dot com for many years and only shoot 10mm in handguns. The 10mm covers a wide range of uses so a thumbs up on your choice of 10mm. It is carry-able and high end pistols will work as well as any standard pistol if it is within your financial realm. I don't think you can lose with the 10mm V-Bob.
