The 26" overall length pertains to NFA status of rifles that are shorter than 26". A pistol can be any length as long as the factors that make the pistol determination aren't changed, so no stocks or VFGs as you already know.

Robert, As configured at this point this firearm is a pistol. If you do not make any changes this firearm has all the same restrictions or lack of restrictions of a handgun.
