I took apart my pump for cleaning and upon reassembly, I may have reassembled it incorrectly.

The barrel will not release and the pump will not disengage. I tried a variety of methods try and get it loose, but it will not come off. The barrel will move about half an inch while the pump will move less than that. Any ideas on how to get this back out?

Siam, Do not worry about hurting it. Make sure fastener is off the magazine tube and take rubber maul and wood wedge and tap on barrel ring to loosen. Do not twist. Check your pump release tab and make sure that is not jammed up. Good luck.
