Gregory, no the G2C Sir. That issue was with the earlier Gen Taurus firearms. The G2's are drop safe.

Gregory, This firearm does have a drop safe mechanism. You can have an accident with any tool if your careless. Dropping this gun is only a safety concern if something would catch the trigger when dropped. I've never dropped a firearm in 40+ years of being in the shooting sports.
