It stands for Law Enforcement, and is a model/package designated for sale under the manufacturers program to Law Enforcement/Military personnel. Usually, this is a designation for firearms the manufacturer supplies to dealers at a discount, to be passed on to the 'professionals' at a reduced price or other special features.
