the cylinder is smaller too on the new 2019 - I am now a little undecided - I have an old king cobra 4 inch that is very nice. any thoughts?

Jeffrey, I also favor the older thicker frame and larger cylinder on the Old King Cobra. However, I don't think you will be disappointed overall with the new 2019 King Cobra. Wish Colt followed tradition but, they did not. Decisions, decisions.

if you want to carry it the new gun is great if you want a range/home defense gun the old heaver gun has less recoil and would be my choice
