no the ruger does not have a internal lock Ruger stopped putting the external locks on their guns (blackhawks) at least 15 years ago and the red hawks never had the internal lock

George, No internal lock feature on this revolver. You do prevent accidental discharge by Ruger's famous and proven transfer bar safety system.
