Justin, yes Sir. Security Cylinder is just a Cylinder Bore which the vast majority of defensive shotguns have. There is also a Slug version here : https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/42604/maverick+31017+88+12+24+rs+cb
yes you can get a slug barrel (this is the proper Mossberg Maverick barrel https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/712014146/moss+bbl+500+12ga+24+slug+rs+rfld and this one is the cantilevered barrel with scopehttps://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/21581/mossberg+500xbl+12g+24%22+rb+cant%2fscopThee Mossberg site list it as a cylinder choke https://www.mossberg.com/category/series/maverick-88/
Justin, Rifled shotgun barrels are not a big advantage with todays slugs. I put slugs on top of one another at 50 yards smooth bore or rifled barrel. The 'Security Choke' is what they refer to as standard Cylinder Bore.
the rifled barrels using a sabot slug is much more accurate than a nonrifled barrel at 125 yards
